His House

Our Story

A calling to provide refuge, restoration, and hope to women in crisis.

The heart behind His House

His House Women's Recovery Home Inc. was born out of a deep conviction that every woman — no matter what she's been through — deserves a safe place to heal, grow, and encounter the love of Christ. We are a 501(c)(3) faith-based nonprofit located in Garfield, Georgia, in the heart of Emanuel County.

Incorporated in May 2024, His House exists to serve women across multiple crisis situations: drug and alcohol addiction, domestic violence and battering, homelessness, and sex trafficking. We welcome mothers with children — because we believe families should stay together during recovery. However, due to funding constraints, our space for mothers with children is very limited.

Our Co-Directors

His House Women's Recovery Home was co-founded by Anna Cowart and Windy Durden, who serve together as Co-Directors. Under their shared leadership, the home has become a beacon of hope for women in Emanuel County and beyond — a place where brokenness meets grace and lives are rebuilt on the foundation of faith.

The need is growing

Our current home is at capacity, and women are calling every week — being turned away because we simply don't have the room. We're working to build a new home that will host 24 women, but we can't do it alone.
